Could It Be Menopause If Drops Of Blood Are Seen After Intercourse And Experiencing Hot Flashes?

second time my boyfriend and I had vaginal intercourse, he is well endowed but not excessive, there are signs of dried blood or as in the case the last night of a week's vacation together fresh blood when I wiped myself. I'm 50, experience hot flashes and whiskers, attributed to menopause or should I see my doc?

Hi,

There can be several causes of postmenopausal bleeding. The most common causes are inflammation and thinning of the vaginal lining caused by lower estrogen levels, cervical or uterine polyps ,non cancerous growths and cancerous growths.

I would suggest you to visit your gynaecologist for a vaginal examination and a pelvic ultrasound in order to rule out vaginal atrophy or any abnormal growth.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
