Could Pain In Ankle, Swelling And Redness Be Caused By Abscess?

Acute pains on my left ankle 3days ago, am chill and its reddish and hot, swollen too, I had no fracture, I have once had cellulitis on same leg, this one is different now, what can this be now? Help me remedy this situation, I can walk but under pains. An abscess ?

Yes, your symptoms are suggestive of abscess and it needs physical examination and blood test (cell count and ESR) to confirm.My advice for you is to get in touch with your local doctor. He will prescribe you antibiotic (I prefer augmentin) along with pain killer.
Meanwhile you may have Ibuprofen,limb elevation,no massage and rest.
