Could Pain On Movement At The Mastectomy Side Normal After Radiotherapy?

I had breast cancer which was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago. I had chemo followed by surgery, herceptin and 4 weeks of radiotherapy. I have had a soreness around the ribs on my mastectomy side and my consultant said that this is normal after radiotherapy. Over the past 3 days I have more severe pain which I have on movement and breathing in deeply. Worried I may have metasteses in my ribs.
