Could Scarlet Fever Affect Joints?

I am 62, and when I was 7 years old I had scarletina. After this, as a child and adult, I have always had terrible leg aches. I had heard that scarlet fever/tina can effect your joints. I now have swollen joints and aches in my hands, wrists, fingers and legs. Could this be results of the scarlettina?
