I have a thyroid problem and taking eltroxin 1 in morning 1 at night 1 I ve developed a problem with my skin about 2months ago (April-May). In my neck up to just beneath my eyes and behind my ears, the skin is extremely dry and pulls and itches 2 Suddenly 2 days ago i noticed that I m losing a toenail for no reason.I didn t drop anything on it nor bumped it. There is no discolouration and no pain. I am a vegaterian (5 months) now could it be due to a lack of something. Please help! Terry MEDICATIONS Pharmistist prescribed MYLOCORT CREAM 1.0 g Hydrocortisone acetate antihistamines. Which was stopped by the Hemeopath I saw. Hi,

You have to check your thyroid hormones level in the blood in the first place, as it can be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
