Hello, and I would be happy to answer your question today.

Taking your pill at different times every day and forgetting pills, even if you back them up, can cause your period to come at the wrong time or skip. If you miss a pill you should take the pill you missed as soon as possible.

If you missed two pills in a row in a cycle, you would be at risk for pregnancy and should perform a urine pregnancy test.

If you are not pregnant, really try to find a way to remember your daily pill. There are email and phone reminders you can set up online. Otherwise you may want to choose an alternative birth control method method (such as Nuvaring, the birth control patch or an IUD) that do not require remembering to take a pill every day.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
