Could Stopping Spironolactone Medicines Temporarily Lead To Any Complications?

my mom takes spironolactone med due to her current heart problem. This med was priscriber by MD in Ethiopia and she is hear in USA. The Dr. here is doing a lot of test but in the mean time she is running out of this med. So if she stop this med what is the risk?

There are no risks from the interruption of Spironolactone, while her blood pressure values are normal.

Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
There are no risks from the interruption of Spironolactone, while her blood pressure is not higher than the normal. Spironolactone can be stooped immediately without any problem. Mean time your mother should monitor strictly her blood pressure values at least three times a day.
If the values are higher than 140/90 mmHg, than she should refer this to the treating doctor, in way to prescribe any other anti hypertensive drug which does not interfere with the exams she is going through.
