Could Stress Caused By Canker Sores Lead To Vertigo?

Hi my name is Michelle during the past month I have had up to 12 canker sores in my mouth and throat. According to my doctor there is no medication for this and is the cause of high stress over a long period. Now I am experiencing dizzie spells (vertigo) at different times of the day and even when I am sitting still or lying down. These seem to be getting worse (it has now been more than 2 weeks). I am also now struggling to remember (short term) and my typing and spelling is being affected. It feels as if my brain is loose inside my scull. Please help

Hi, oral aphthous ulcers are definitely associated with stress. Have you been having recurrent episodes of oral ulcers? Do you have any history of genital erosions or visual problems? I suggest you should show to a neurophysician for your dizzy spells. Neurobechets disease needs to be ruled out. He/she can do a pathergy test on you.I suggest you take oral acyclovir (to cover for herpes simplex) and a multi vitamin till the time you are seen by the neurophysician.
