Could The ALP Be Inflated Because Of Bacterial Infection?

After having a lab panel taken recently, I was told my ALP was high (157). My dr. then had me test the ggt along with a 24-hr urine specimen; it was found to be negative for liver. Then I had the bone specific ALP and just got a card from the clinic stating it was normal. In the meantime, I have developed a nasty staph infection in my ankles and am taking clindamycin for that, with great results in just 3 days. Could the ALP be inflated because of the bacterial infection?

Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) is a protein found in all body tissues. Tissues with higher amounts of ALP include the liver, bile ducts, and bone

The normal range is 44 to 147 IU/L (international units per liter).

raised ALP does not signify infection per say

your ALP values are marginally above the upper limit of normal range may not be considered a significant finding
