Could The ALP Be Inflated Because Of Bacterial Infection?
After having a lab panel taken recently, I was told my ALP was high (157). My dr. then had me test the ggt along with a 24-hr urine specimen; it was found to be negative for liver. Then I had the bone specific ALP and just got a card from the clinic stating it was normal. In the meantime, I have developed a nasty staph infection in my ankles and am taking clindamycin for that, with great results in just 3 days. Could the ALP be inflated because of the bacterial infection?
