Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Tetralysal for a skin condition 2 (300mg) a day for over a week now. The last couple of days I ve been experiencing some chest pains is this just indigestion from these tablets as I ve had them before and suffered some stomach problems with them (constipation).
Tetralysal 300 mg contains lymecycline which is used mainly to treat acne. The side effects of Tetralysal are feeling sick or nausea, vomiting, GIT upset, abdominal pain, indigestion, chest pain or tightness, headache, sensitive to light, discoloration of teeth etc. If you are feeling sick, indigestion, stomach upset etc after taking Tetralysal, you can try eating some food while taking it. Alternatively, if you are taking it with a meal, you can try taking the medication without food. Tetralysal affects people differently, so you may need to experiment to find what works best for you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General & Family Physician
