Could The Rashes On Face And Neck Be Caused By Passive Smoking?
my daughter has a rash going on on her face neck and belly they look like little red dots all over the place. they only thing that i can think of is my husbands brother has been staying with us since monday night and he is a smoker (other wise she has not exsposer to it. ) could it be that the she is allergic to the second hand stuff that is on his clothes from smoking?
Second hand tobacco smoke can cause allergic reactions, one of the kind is skin rashes in people with sensitive skin. The best way to avoid it is to keep your daughter away from the exposure. The rashes should go away by itself. If not, she can take antihistamine syrup or tablet after getting clinically examined by a local GP since you have not mentioned the age of your daughter here. (dosage of medicines are prescribed only after seeing the age and weight). Take care of her hygiene. Do not leave the skin dry, apply thin layer of calamine lotion for relieve. Get the clothes washed in hot water frequently to avoid allergy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
