Could The Swollen Vein In The Collar Bone Is The Lymph Node?

Hi there. My question is, above the collarbone I have what feels like a swollen vein? It s long about 3 cmand thin but the middle of it feels fat. Does this make sense? The other side has the same vein type feeling but is not fat. Do lymph nodes feel like veins?

Hello!
I had gone through your query.
Usually lymph nodes are felt like small lumps, with a round shape and veins are blood vessels so have a tubular shape.
Swollen lymph nodes are due to infection (and in this case they are painful, red) or to cancer spreading (in this case they are painless in touch).

I suggest to consult a physician, get examined and the doctor through the physical examination will sort it out if it is lymph node or a vein.
Because swollen painless lymph nodes above collarbone have a specific meaning and are very serious finding,If your swollen lymph node(that might be a vein) is in the right side, this is one more reason you should consult a physician.

Hope my answer has helped.
Take care.
