Could Unprotected Sex After Taking Loette Cause Pregnancy?
sir actually i have just started taking loette from last sunday i.e 2nd oct at around 8:00-9:00pm.i am taking that regular on same time till today.but i had unprotected sex yesterday afternoon,so i want to confirm that can this intercourse make me pregnant?please ans me ,m worried because its confusing for me to calculate exact 7 days from the start of the pills.
It depends on how you started your pills. If you had your period within the 5 days before you started the pill, then the pills should be effective and prevent pregnancy.
If however, you started at a time not related to your period (which is fine), then you could become pregnant with unprotected sex in the first 5-7 days. You can count the days simply as 1, 2, 3, 4, in line with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th pills.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Lisa Baker
