Dark Acne Spots On Face. Will Using Melacare Cream At Night Followed By Sunscreen In The Morning Cause Any Skin Problem?
Hi, I just bought a tube of melacare for the dark acne spots that i have on my face, I am reading scary reviews that after using it when you withdraw the treatment your skin turns black ? i want to know if i use it for few weeks strictly at night and follow up with a sunscreen in the morning, will I still get dark skin pathes. Or should i opt for something else.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Jay Patel's Response
Hi,
Using melacare does have various side effects like 1) aching, blisters in hair follicles 2) thinning of the skin 3) irritation of the skin 4) burning or itching of the skin 5) increased redness of the skin
If you are facing few of such symptoms its advice to stop using it.
YES melacare is STRICTLY to be used at night being a vitamin-A derivative it will create photosensitivity if use at day time.
Hope it helps. Dr.JAY PATEL.
