Dent In The Head Post A Bang, Have Frequent Headaches. Chances Of Permanent Damage?
A few years ago I fell and hit my head really hard on someones elbow . It left a dent in my head, rather than a bump, that is still there to this day. I have headaches pretty often, but it may just seem that it s more often because I remember the dent. Do I have any permanent damage (besides the dent in my head) to worry about?
Hello
Thank you for getting in touch with us. As I see, you have a history of a fall few years back. Was that fall accompanied by a loss of consciousness (which I doubt as you fell on someone's elbow)? Any fall if accompanied by a loss of consciousness requires a CT scan to check for bleeding in the brain. I would recommend you to get in touch with your Doctor and get few tests done to find out the exact cause. If there was no loss of consciousness and tests are normal, then these headaches might be due to some other reason like migraine, tension headache, cluster headache etc. These can be easily managed with medicines. Hope this helped.
