Developed A Baker's Cyst Behind Left Knee Two Months Ago Should I See An Ortho Doctor For Developing A Baker's Cyst Even After Using A Knee Brace?

Developed a baker's cyst behind left knee two months ago . Have worn a knee brace since then. Cyst has gotten smaller but still there. primary Dr. Suggested Ortho Dr with whom I have an appt . knee not really bothering me so questioning my need to seeing another. Dr. My problem seems to be discomfort of spider veins on same leg on ankle? What could the relation be?

I have gone through your query.
As Baker's cyst is not causing discomfort there is no treatment required. It does not cause any harm. Continue using knee brace. Your doctor has suggested you to see an orthopedic doctor to find out the cause which have caused it.
Regarding Spider veins or varicose veins in ankle, it is not associated with Baker's cyst. It can be due to many reasons like hereditary, occupation involving lot of standing, obesity, trauma. As it causing discomfort, you should consult a surgeon.
