I am in PA school, and we have been learning the tests for all the cranial nerves. I recently noticed that my uvula deviates to the right side of my mouth, just normally and when I say ah . I am wondering if since it deviates before saying ah what that might indicate, and if I should get checked. Never noticed this before now.

Deviation Of The Uvula. Do I Have To Get Checked?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic You can consider having it assessed by your doctor. Deviation of the uvula can be caused by infection, the presence of a mass or inappropriate function of the nerve (cranial nerve 9). Your doctor will check to determine if there is deviation and may consider imaging investigations if this is confirmed by examination. I hope this helps
