Diagnosed With Multiple Myeloma, Pain In The Bone, Severe Chest Pain, Breathlessness, Wheezing And Sweating. Cause For The Symptoms And Treatment?
My husband was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma in January this year. Prior to this he had bone pain for six months and refused to go to the doctor. He is refusing ALL treatment except pain relief. On Tuesday morning he woke me at 5 am with severe chest pain, breathlessness, wheezing and horrific sweating. I believe he was having a heart attack but refused me calling an ambulance. He was in horrific pain all day and then yesterday he slept all day. He seems better this morning. No one can tell me what happened on Tuesday morning.
Hello, Its unfortunate that your husband is refusing all forms of curative treatment for multiple myeloma. I have worked in a cancer hospital and have come across many patients who have won the battle with multiple myeloma with so many advances in research and treatment taking place every day. Pain relief will not help much because we are not controlling the progress of disease. Multiple myeloma has many complications and we never know his spine might be involved. Right now please help him take curative treatment for his disease.
