What Causes Shoulder Along With Bicep And Hand Problems?

I am trying to find out how to get a diagnosis of neuralgic amyotrophy, brachial neuritis, or some other type of disorder that is causing shoulder, bicep, deltoid, lower harm, and hand problems. I m 38, 5 7, 190lbs, and started having symptoms shortly after having a C2-C4 anterior fusion. I had many complications and expected some as it isn t a common surgery due to being so high in the neck. This issue continues to go on after a year and physical therapy. I can t seem to find a specialist that can help me so that I can return to work again after being off for 1 year. I ve spent 10 years in college and work as a specialist only to be sitting around doing nothing with my life because of this. I m desperate!!! Kim

Hello,

The shoulder and biceps and hand problems that you have after the neck surgery can be related to nerve compression or damage. You need to consult a neurologist for proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
