Diagnosed With TB And Having Swollen Lymph Nodes On Collar Bone. Prescribed With Forecox, Oflox. What Are The Side Effects?

Hi Sir, I am 40 years male, 5 7 foot and 82 kgs, I have been diagnosed with TB. have swelling of lymph nodes in above left collor bone (which is almost static for last 15 days with no pain) & another on the right side of stomach beside appendix area of 20 mm (according to CT report), done FNAC of neck Area. my chest x-ray is clear with no sign of any problem. no cough, only pain at different places at times. My Doctor a Gastrointrologist specialist, prescribed me with Forecox, 2 tablets in the morning half an hour before breakfast and oflox 400 mg twice (morning & evening after meals). & a vitamin for eyesight. im starting the course from tomorrow. Sir, what are the side effects, how long do i have to carryon with this madication, during the course of medication do i abstain from sex & is it effevtive to my problem ? Earliest response to my problem will be deeply appreciated. Thank You in advance.

Thanks for your query.
If your FNAC is suggestive of tuberculosis, it is required on your part to be loyal to your treatment and complete the full course of 6 months. Otherwise, will lead to treatment failure and may cause drug resistance. Defaulting will require 8 months of treatment with 2 months of intramuscular injection.
Drugs are well tolerable. There may be slight stomach discomfort. If there is yellowish discoloration of eyes and urine, visit your doctor. Orange coloured urine is harmless manifestation of drug intake. vision problem, if occurs visit your doctor.
Though extrapulmonary tuberculosis is not too contagious, but an abstenance of 15 days will be ok.
Ofloxacin is not needed, at this juncture.....Ask your doctor for the same...
