Diagnosed With Bladder Neuropathy. Using Plastic Pants With Pads. What Is The Best Alternative?
Hi I have type 2 diabetes and it has been out of control for nearly 5 years and now I've been told that I have bladder neuropathy (as I've been wetting myself for nearly a year now) they have said that I should use adult type nappies, I don't mind this as it will help with the problem of wet clothes but I don't know weather to use cloth nappies/diapers or disposable ones, cost is an issue but so is health, I've read many different arguments for wearing both but am unsure what is the best way, at the moment I'm using pads that are uncomfortable and when wet they leak and get bulky and heavy, I've also resulted in using plastic pants with them.
You should use disposable adult diaper of good quality. Cloth diapers retain urine but there is more chance of rashes.
However if you change cloth diapers frequently and maintain good hygeine then it will work(because cost is an issue).
Wish for your good health.
