Diagnosed With Chondrocalcinosis. Have Stiffness In The Morning. Is There Any Diet That May Help?
I have a diagnosis of chondrocalcinosis and struggle in the morning with stiffness and aches all over. I have tried different mattresses and pillows and sleep with a pillow between my knee's. I was wondering if there is a diet that might help me feel less stiff, particularly in the mornings but generaaly as well. Thanks - Nick
As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no specific dietary management for chondrocalcinosis.
The general treatment guidelines for chondrocalcinosis is as follows -
* Rest to the inflammed joints * Anti inflammatory therapy in the form of NSAID's * Intra articular steroid injections * Systemic corticosteroids * Ocassional colchine or methotrexate may provide some relief.
Hope this information is helpful .Good day
