My 17 year old son was diagnosed (by observation of mouth sores/blisters and ruling out of flu , mono, strep ) with coxsackie virus about 6 days ago. His sores are healing , his fever is gone, his energy level is up, but he continues to have a crushing type of chest pain that is bothersome when he drinks anything. He has not be able to take in solid foot yet due to sore gums & blisters still on the tongue plus the chest & upper abdomen pain. Can you exlain the chest pain and what can be done about it? E. F.
