Diagnosed With Dementia And Hyperthyroidism. Frequent Urination, Weight Loss. Reason?
Hello doctor, Iam from India, my father in law aged 76 weighing 48kgs, has been detected with dementia, hyperthyroid . He is on pace maker since last agust. And on medication. But since then he has an urge of passing urine and stool every 20min. Even after eating or drinking tea. Because of this he is loosing weight drastically. What could be the reason.

He might be suffering from other endocrinal problems like Diabetes Mellitus, His blood sugars should be checked for, Looking at his age urge, frequency could also be due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, which should be diagnosed after doing clinical examination by Gen.Surgeon/Urologist followed by ultrasound examination
