Diagnosed With Osteoarthritis, On Celebrex. Trouble While Walking. How To Overcome This ?
Thank you. I have been diagnosed with osteo arthtitus and need something more than just Celebrex. It works slightly but I am still having lots of trouble walking. I am a foster grandmother at our local elementary school and have to walk long halls for seven separate classes from one end of our building to the other. My knees feel like they are sliding off the one side or the other and not holding me up. Is there a vitamin or something I can take to relieve the pain when walking. I am only sixty five and not ready for a recliner.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Osteoarthritis is usually treated with painkillers, NSAIDS and steroids. Supplements of Vit D and calcium have also been used as supportive therapy. I suggest you get in touch with your orthopedist and get a prescription for Vitamin D and calcium. If you are overweight, I suggest you try to lose few pounds as this will help reduce the symptoms. Weight loss will reduce stress over your joints and make you fitter. Thanks.
