Hello, I was diagnosed with a right medial meniscus tear, since Aug 30th, I have had electric shocks going through my knee, plus pain and swelling, and very numb, whereby even if my skirt or anything touched it, it felt like prickles or needles. I have bounced from one Orthopedic doctor to the other, and all gave me meds, which made me feel sick. I was told to do therapy, then was told to stop, then was told I need arthroscopic surgery to repair the meniscus, I am so confused and do not know what to do. Today its has been over 2 months, and I still sit here with a knee brace and electric shock pain, on crutches, and now my left knee is starting to hurt. Because my company i worked for closed a year ago, I do not have insurance, so i have to wait for the local public hospital, and spend most of my days sitting, doing some leg raise, which makes my knee feel like its being sliced or tight. Please help, should I continue with therapy, because none of the doctors have explained good enough my options, eg. i donot know which zone the tear is in..and heard that after surgery the knee gets worse?
