Dilated Cardiomyopathy,congestive Heart Failure,pressure In Head And Neck,neck Veins Popping Out
i was diagnosed with diolated cardiomyopathy with congestive heart failure for a year now, but now for the last two days iv been feeling all this pressure in my head and neck and my neck vains are popping out...it gets worce when i lay down or even sit......it feels like when i was a kid and i would hold my breath and some one would push on my chest..... whats going on ? and what should i do about it ?
Hello kaylo. Thanks for visiting healthcaremagic.com. One of the signs that we look for in acute congestive heart failure is JVD (jugular venous distension). The jugular veins are the large veins on both sides of your neck and the distension tends to be worse when laying down especially.
Another sign of acute congestive heart failure is weight gain and lower extremity swelling.
I would advise that you go to the nearest emergency facility for evaluation as this may mean that you are having an acute attack of your congestive heart failure.

They indicate early signs of congestive heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy .
It is advises that you need to re adjust doses of drugs like diuretics , carvedilol , or enalapril group of drugs to improve pumping of heart .
2D echo test also is useful to monitor Ejection fraction .
Prophylactic vaccination againest chest infection is also essential .
