Discomfort In Lower Stomach, Blood During Bowel Movement. Ate Spicy Food And Drank Alcohol. What Could Be The Reason?
Hello, I noticed today when i used the bathroom (bowl) I had a lot of red blood in the toilet. every time since I have used the bathroom there is still blood but not as much. i do have a slight discomfort in my lower stomach but it is not to painful. I have in the last two days had very spicy food and drank alcohol can this have anything to do with it?

The passage of blood through anus could be due to the piles, fissure in ano, and amoebic colitis.
Piles blood usually comes after the passage of hard stools. It is heavy, and pain less.
Fissure is due to the cut of the anal canal, due to the very hard and heavy stool, there after blood seen along the length of the stools.It pains while passing stools.
Amoebic colitis is due to the infection with E.H.It is associated with the pain in the lower abdomen, especially while passing stools. and the blood is mixed with the stools.
I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have proctoscopy for confirmation of the disease.

Your symptoms of painless fresh blood in stool is suggestive of haemorrhoids. Which can be confirmed by examination by a doctor.In intial stage of disease can be managed by avoiding hard stool and straining. stool softener , diet rich in fiber content and regular bowel habits are useful.
Advancd stage of haemorrhoids may require surgery.
Consult your doctor for examination , physical examination is required to rule out other causes for haemorrhoids .
Taking spicy food and alcohol can cause upper GI irritation resulting in vomiting but not fresh blood in stool.
