Discomfort On The Neck, Swelling. Have Pain While Swallowing. Tonsils Removed In The Past. What Else?
Hello, yesterday afternoon i started to notice some discomfort on my left side of my neck (where your tonsils are located) through out the day there was more discomfort and eventually it got swollen. The size of a golf ball, theres discomfort when I swallow or move around my neck...its getting frustrating and painful. Im worried because heres the thing, I had my tonsils removed when I was little. So it just makes me wonder what's that ball, I took penicillin last night and it sorta went down but I just had a bite of food and once again it swollen. Thanks
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain and discomfort in the neck while swallowing could be due to an infection in the oropharynx or an ulceration. This needs an examination by an ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
