Dizziness, Lethargy, Vomiting, Occurs Randomly At Different Times. Symptoms Of Vertigo?

I feel dizzy every 3 weeks and have to wait it out. Some times I catch it before it happens as I can stand up after 10 mins other times I feel so lethargic I have to sleep and one time I couldn t lay down and vomitted. I get told its vertigo by my doctors. Is it preventable? It happens at different times of the day so is hard to find a particular trigger.
