Dizziness, Nausea, Vomiting, Bump Formation On Head After A Hit. Will I Need MRI?
I threw some decorative lights and the socket swung and smacked me in the back of my head about 2 hours ago. I got a bump a little larger than a quarter. About an hour after I hit it, I began to vomit. I still feel a little dizzy and nauseous. I'll be seeing my university medical center tomorrow morning, but I'd like to know if I'll need an MRI, the effects this might have, and what they can do for me. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. Yes ! You will need either a CT scan or an MRI if the symptoms of dizziness and nausea with vomiting persists or increases to rule out any intra cranial injury. It could be just a concussion of the brain, which may subside of its own without any other problem. In other circumstances, you may have to report to an ER of the nearest hospital without losing much time.
I wish you an early recovery. Thanks for using healthcaremagic forum for clearing your doubts on health.
