Dizziness While Moving Quickly. Taking Ensam. Is This A Side Effect Of Medicine?

I recently lost 25 lbs I am experiencing dizziness especially when I move quick or bend over. I called my Phyciatrist
and he said that the ENSAM 6mg. would not have the side effect of dizziness. I called my PCP and he told me to reduce my high blood pressure med. I have done this and my readings are good, however I am still experiencing light headedness and dizziness. I expect that my mix of meds is not right.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
Ensam is selegiline an antidepressant and can cause all these symptoms but you are taking low dose but at times patients can be more susceptible to adverse effect. It is worthwhile to switch to other class of alternative drugs and observe if the trouble resolves.
Raised BP can be a cause of giddiness and dizziness and often associated with headache, but that does not seem to be the case with you as you have said your BP is now under control.
Another important cause of such symptoms is the Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV where the balancing particles in the internal ear are disturbed due to movements or change of head posture.
A physical and clinical examination by a local physician or ENT doctor can be very helpful for evaluation of this problem and is advisable.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
