My esthetician says that the fluid I express from an acne area is serous fluid She said that if this occurs, it means that there is no infection or bacteria left in the sore, and the fluid itself does not need to be extracted. Is this true? Any type of infection is stressful for me. Thank you. Cathy
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face which occurs due to which there are clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected and filled with pus. You have to get this pus removed. You can exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove the dead skin.I would suggest you to use face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid which is natural extract and safe for use. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment or antibiotics course. Take Multivitamin supplements. Apply Adapelene gel once at night.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
