Do I Need To Get Tetanus Shots After Grazing Myself On A Nail?

Hi, I grazed myself on a nail a few hours ago, the nail did not seem to be rusted but was dirty in appearance, the wound was not that big maybe a good 2-3 cm in length. It looks like the wound was only on the surface but it was bleeding. Do I need to get tetanus shots? I have not yet got my vaccine.

Hello. I just read through your question. If your tetanus status is not up to date, it is advised to get the tetanus vaccine now. Adults are supposed to get a tetanus vaccine every ten years. If unsure, I recommend consulting with your doctor to check on your status.
