Do Thrombosed Veins Subside After Sometime?

hi, i knocked the side of my foot and now a couple of months on, the vein is bobbly, i went to my doctors and he said i have a thrombosed vein, and that it would just disappear in a few weeks, however i am still worried and would like a second opinion, many thanks.xx

Hi, the thrombosed vein will recanalize after a few weeks to months. It does not usually cause any problems and goes away without causing problems. Do not worry. You can apply compression bandages over it if it is troublesome. Other than that, nothing needs to be done. Take care,
