No it is not a high fat food.The varieties include non-fat, low fat 2% and whole milk yoghurt 4%.
It is rich in nutrients which include protein, calcium, Riboflavin,Vitamin B6 and B12.
Streptococcus thermophilus is one of the bacteria used in preparation of this.
It is not naturally found in it.Lactose which is a milk protein is fermented by these bacteria which results in formation of yoghurt.

Yoghurt is a fat food, it can increase weight slightly.Streptococcus thermophilus is a gram positive anaerobe also called has lactic acid bacilli which help in fermentation process. Consumption doesn't effect health.
