Does 1000 Units Of Kombiglyza With Lantus Has Any Side Effects?
I have been taking 3 units of insulin (novalog) before meals and 10 units of lantus before bedtime. Now my doctor wants to change my insulin to Kombiglyza 1000 units a day. stop novalog and continue the lantus at night. I am afraid of the side effects of the new pills. What is your opinion
Dear friend, since lantus is the part of basal bolus regime which is the most recommended regime for diabetes but is recomended to use lantus with short acting premeals insulin or short acting non sulphonyl urea repaglinide (novonorm) to cover your meals and yes along with this if required you can add kombiglyza xr but i wud not recommend not to stop novalog. i hope my answer serves your question thanks regards Dr.Muddasar Ahmed
