Good evening. Well Osteooarthritis as you know is a degenerative condition. It has occurred a bit early at your age.Normally it doesnt happen before the age of 60. Bt yes, the treatment is very limited when it comes to medical theraphy.

You can try with calcium, vitamin D supplements along with medicines for cartilage regeneration. They will afford you 20-30 % benefit. But the main benefit is from your exercises and postures to avoid putting excessive load on the knees. Consult your physiotherapist and start learning quadriceps exercises. Avoid Squatting on the ground, or folding your legs and sitting and wear good sports shoes. Cycling will also help

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Dr. Naveen Kumar Sharma's  Response
I have studied your case and i understand that you do not want to get knee surgery. Knee replacement is a permanent solution and age is not a bar. It is decided on the basis of pain intensity. If you are taking one pain killer daily then you should get knee replacement done because otherwise your kidney will fail and then there is no solution.
Ayurvedic medicine does not have any medicine for knee arthritis and you may worsened your disease.
I would suggest you following medication till you do not get surgery.
1.Physiotherapy of both knee
2 Avoid squatting and sitting cross leg
3.Take calcium and vitamin D3 regularly
4.voletran ointment
5.steroid injection in the knee joint
