Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your doctor has advised you abortion by a medical method which consists of mifepristone and misoprostol (Zitotec) intake as you have told. Till 7 weeks of pregnancy, the success of medical method in completing the abortion process is 98%. It means in 2% cases, there may be incomplete abortion or no abortion, and then one has to resort to surgical method of abortion.
I suggest you to follow your doctor's advice and be in her close follow-up during the whole process.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Deepti Verma
