Does Morphine Sulfate cause insomina? Sister has been on it for awhile, up for 48 or so hours, sleeps 24-ish. Went to see doctor yesterday and he increased the dose of Morphine and gave her temasapam 30mg for sleep. Last nite was a nightmare. She increased the dose of Morphine, and incoherant, hallucintating, fell, I was afraid to go to sleep myself.
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. Morphine in higher doses can cause hallucinations. That is the reason you had them. You should avoid higher doses of morphine. Instead temazapam doses can be increased to help in sleep. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
