Does Norflox TZ, SporlacDS And Cyclopam Safe In Pregnancy?

Hey Doc, My wife is in 8th month of her pregnancy. She was complaining of dysentery and stomach pain and in her urine report, her pus cells were 15-20 and epithelial cells were 20-25. Dr advised to take Norflox TZ, SporlacDS and Cyclopam. I just want to know is it safe to take these medicine at this stage of her pregnancy.

Combination of norfloxacin-tinidazole is not safe during early pregnancy and it causes harmful effect to baby or congenital defect. In late stages of pregnancy also many health care professionals avoid norflox tz.

Here you require to drink more water mixed with electrolyte Oral Rehydrated Salt (ORS) powder with safe antibiotic therapy like Ampicillin/ Cephalosporin group of drug. In addition,some probiotics may be advisable which your doctor has prescribe you (sporolac ds)
Cyclopam can be taken under medical supervision
