Hi Doctor, I am 26 week pregnant. Result of Glucose, post -prandial, plasma/urine test is 193 and Glucose, fasting, plasma/urine is 105. Result of Glycosylated haemoglobin, blood test is 5.8. Does it require immediate insulin treatment or I should try to control with diet and exercises like walking ??

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum
Though the blood glucose levels are impaired the levels are not that much high.
Impaired glucose tolerance is very common in pregnancy.
Glucose challenge test/Oral glucose tolerance test can help you decide on the course of action.
Please consult your gynaecologist for the same and further management.
All the best.
