hi i had 3 abortions last year and made alot of analysis that show high lupus anticoagulant and high esr so i diagnosed as antiphospholipid syndrome and take aspirin daily but no pregnancy happen since last abortion from one year ago does antiphospholipid delay pregnancy to happen
I understand your concern and will do my best to answer your question. I actually did research on anticardiolipin (ACL) and know quite a bit about it. There is a link between anticardiolipin ( one specific 'lupus anticoagulant' and probably the most important antibody in the group) and first and second trimester miscarriage, growth restriction and hypertension. A good amount of research shows that aspirin or stronger blood thinners can help continue a pregnancy. There is a weak link between ACL and infertility but the experts aren't sure. There is very little research about whether aspirin can help with conception in women with ACL. Here is a link to a fair summary: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11897906 It is frustrating, I am sorry, and hopefully soon we will have the research to answer that question with more certainty. Best of luck and I hope that helped
