Does Benzonatate Cause High Blood Pressure?

Hi, I have been taking benzonatate for a few days and it has not helped my cough. I also have noticed a rise in my blood pressure. Is it ok to stop taking the pill to see if that is what is causing my blood pressure to be high or do I need to finish the 10 days? Thanks!

Hi,

The most common side effect of Benzonatate includes numbness in the mouth or throat, feeling restless or very sleepy, tremors or shaking, seizure (convulsions), slow heart rate, weak pulse, fainting, and slow breathing. Changes in BP have not been reported with it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
