Does Breast Reduction Cause Red Itchy Scabs On Breast?
Hi, I have several bright red scabs on my breast, right below the aerola. They are a little itchy, not oozing. the breast and nipple are sensitive. I have had them for at least weeks with not much change. I had a breast reduction 10 years ago and often see little "stitch like" looking things poking out of the incision scars, but never caused any problem. I don't have eczema, but my sister does. What could this be? Could it be from the reduction after all this time? Could it be an infection? Cancerous? Very Worried. Thank you!

This could be due to the surgery, but anything on the skin has to be physically examined and I can only assume without a physical examination.
I seriously doubt it to be an infection or a cancerous growth. The cause could most probably be scar tissue or a hormonal effect. Do report to your doctor for a more detailed examination.
