Does Bulimia Cause Hard Palate On Both Sides Of Mouth To Swell?
Hi, my hard palate on both sides of my mouth are swollen and extremely sore and I'm not sure what's wrong. I suffer from Bulimia and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it's just extremely uncomfortable. The past two days I have reverted from acting on my Bulimia, I believe that's when my palate started swelling up and became sore, but I'm not completely sure.
Thank you!
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. In bulimia there will be exposure of the oral cavity to acidic nature from the vomitus. I dont think so it will be because of bulimia. It can be because of trauma to the minor salivary glands resulting in a mucocele. nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. If it is a mucocele, nothing to worry. it will rupture when it get exposed to trauma. If there is any increase in size of the lesion, consult a oral physician immediately. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
