Does Concussion Cause Cataract Leading To Blindness?

I had a 5KV electrical switch blow up on me, I was thrwon 13 feet from where I was standing which resulted in a concussion, I ended up in the emergency room for test and an MRI. Within the year I had been told I was legally blind in the right eye with a cataract, no problems with my left eye. I had to have my lens replaced, I was told the concussion had caused the cataract. Is that true.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having cataract following concussion injury. Concussion injury can cause concussion cataract called as rosette cataract. But no need to worry this can be treated by cataract surgery. With surgery and implantation of appropriate intraocular lens the vision will improve, no need to worry.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for treatment by cataract surgery.

Thank you
