Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Distinct Change In Methylphenidate SR Make A Difference In Its Effect?
I ve been taking Methylphenidate- SR for the past couple years and recently noticed a distinct change in the pills from the pharmacist. I seemed to prefer the previous pills a little more. Should that matter, and how can you know the difference between the two?
If the active ingredient present in the new pills that pharmacist gave you is Methylphenidate in extended release form, then there is no difference between the two. You can check on the strip/cover of the new pill to see if it contains methylphenidate as the active ingredient. You can also contact your pharmacist to confirm.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
