Does Endometrial Ablation Help To Reduce The Bleeding?
Hi... I was on norethisterone tablets 6 years ago for dysfunctional uterine bleeding. To cure that I had an endometrial ablation. It didn't work but i was never told that it could be repeated. My periods were manageable so I put up with them, but last year they started to get really bad so I went back to my doctors. I am now on norethisterone tablets again. I have just had a scan which has showed that I have a large fibroid which is causing the problem. The norethisterone have stopped the worst of the bleeding but for the last two weeks I have had like a breakthrough bleeding ... sort of like what you get at the end of a period. Sometimes it's a little worse than other times. Last time on these tablets I had nothing like this at all. I am waiting for an appointment to see someone and hopefully find out what happens next ... either the ablation if possible or hysterectomy if that is my other option. I just want it to stop now because it's always there and on my mind constantly. Will I carry on with this bleeding or will it stop eventually ?
