Does Exercise Increases Or Decreases The Viscosity Of Synovial Fluid?

Hi, currently studying for a physical training instructors (PTI) course. I need to clarifly if exercise increases or decreases the viscosity of synovial fluid. I have also read that synovial fluid thickens during load bearing exercise thus protecting the joint. Is this true. Your help would be appreciated.

Dear thanks for the question.

You are true. Exercises increase the viscosity of synovial fluid in joints. Synovial fluid as you know protects joints from injuries and viscosity of fluid is an important factor in protection of joints. Weight bearing exercises increase stress on joints and more stress will thicken the synovial fluid to save joints from injuries due to excess loads. So as a physical trainer keep training your clients with loads.

I hope I have clarified your queries or your doubt. Please keep writing for follow up questions. I wish you all the best for your training. Please rate my reply. Thank you.
